Friday’s Funnies – My Faves This Week
Hello all! Happy Fall and Happy Friday! I’m forcing myself to get back to it. I don’t know how long it will last but I shall give it the “ol’ college try,” as they say. I hope you are all doing well and that you’re ready for for a few laughs!
I think I’ve shared a few of these before and I’m sure it happens all the time but I can’t keep track! I just see funnies and save them! I hope you enjoy this collection, repeats or not.

What’s Eating Aunt Debbie?
It’s been quite a long time since I’ve sat down to write. It’s difficult with lack of sleep and when things aren’t going so well. I haven’t been on social media much lately because the bullshit infuriates me. Between the misinformation and the hypocrisy, I don’t know whether to shit or go blind, as my Granny used to say.
I’ve been watching my Dad’s health decline over the last few months and it’s ripping my heart out. Inevitably, I will lose him so I am making the best of the time I have left to love and appreciate him. His memory is failing him and he’s been having some health issues. He’s finding it more difficult to understand simple things. Thankfully, he hasn’t had a fall since July…knock on wood. He’s a bit unstable at times when walking but manages to keep himself upright with the aid of a cane. I’m finding myself watching him like a hawk, trying to do so without making it obvious. It’s been a rough couple of months because as you know, I have my own health issues; chronic pain and mobility issues always make things more difficult for me. Dad’s not able to help me with little things around the house like he used to and I have no other help. I just take things one day at a time.
Someone asked me the other day, “What will you do when you have to live alone?” “I’m not afraid to live alone,” I explained. “I’m afraid of being forgotten. Forgotten by family and friends. Left behind. Most of my family is in Tennessee and I’m in Missouri. My son is less than 15 miles away and I don’t hear from him very often.” I don’t relish the thought of living here without my Dad but I don’t have a problem living alone. The memories will haunt me, I’m sure.
I’m really trying to hold things together here, and I know I need to write more. I try. I think about something I’d like to write about and then…I just don’t do it. I just don’t have the motivation but I’m trying to get it back. I keep saying that and maybe it will snap back into place sooner than later!
I am enjoying the cooler weather, now that Fall is here. Sweater weather is my favorite weather of all! I just pray that the winter we have coming won’t be like the last!

Friday’s Funnies – My Faves This Week
Good Morning! I hope you are all doing well. I’ve been MIA quite a bit lately. It’s so very difficult to write anything these days. There’s much going on with me…and my Dad. I keep trying to get my mojo back but it’s not working! I am trying once again to get motivated and back to my blog. It’s been a long time since I posted Friday’s Funnies so I figured what better place to start! I hope you enjoy this collection of funnies!

So, do you have a favorite? Or maybe more than one favorite? I can’t help but literally crack up when I see those dolls (the last meme) because they remind me of my sisters. No, they don’t look like my sisters (hahaha) but my sisters made their dolls make funny faces by smooshing the faces in and it always made me laugh! So, that meme is my favorite. Atticus and Schrodinger’s Cockatoo aren’t too far behind!
I hope you all are doing well and staying out of the hospital. Please stay safe and be kind to others. That’s about all we can do these days. This pandemic has brought out the worst in people and it’s very disheartening. I can’t help but wonder; why the hell can’t we pull together as a nation like we did after September 11, 2001?

Friday’s Funnies – Theme – Too Hot To Live!
Well, here it is, Friday with August a day away. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for Winter. Most of you are probably thinking I’m nuts because Fall is right around the corner! Other than the nights cooling down, it’s still too hot for me in the Fall. At least in the Winter you can wear more clothing and use more blankets. In the summer, you can only take off so much clothing before someone calls the cops. Snort!

Well, what do you think? My faves are still tryna apply foundation, cat lying flat on his back (because my cat Fuzzy used to lay like that), and last but not least, the Jane Austin quote! Which ones were your faves?
What’s the weather like in your neck of the woods? Here, it’s hot and humid. Nearly 100 degrees every day and this week was the first week that it has not cooled down at night. We’re talking 85 degrees and very uncomfortable! The air conditioners and fans are working overtime and I had one fan die on me last night! I hope the 2 air conditioners last the rest of the season!
Friends, it’s getting bad out there again so please wear your mask, social distance, and get vaccinated. I know it’s scary, but we have got to get this virus under control if we are to ever get our lives back to normal again! I’m extremely worried about a very close friend of mine who was just diagnosed with Covid. This shit is hitting too close to home!
