I hope you missed it, but last Friday I posted Friday’s Funnies and I was confused about the date. I thought it was Friday, the 13th. Haha. As soon as I realized I unpublished the post. I saved it for this week but I have more funnies so I’ll be posting another edition of Friday’s Funnies this afternoon! So, here’s my goof-up post from last Friday!

Uh oh… Do you know what today is? It’s Friday, so it’s time for our weekly funnies. It’s also Friday, the 13th! Are you superstitious? My daughter was born on a Friday the 13th so it was and always will be a day of good luck. What’s funny is that my Dad called my daughter Jason for years and occasionally still does!

Throwback Thursday

I thought I’d be different and talk a little about a film from 1996, 28 years ago. It’s a ridiculous film – almost as absurd as Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. Remember that one? If you don’t, count yourself among the lucky ones!

This film is a parody of alien invasion films and it’s hilarious yet stupid as hell. You’ll laugh throughout while shaking your head at the same time! Maybe you’ve seen it. The name of the film is Mars Attacks! Directed by Tim Burton and stars Jack Nicholson, Sarah Jessica Parker, Pierce Brosnan, Annette Bening, Glenn Close, and more. I can’t help but wonder what the hell these big-name actors were thinking? Here’s the trailer:

Earworm – You Won’t Believe This One!

I’ve been watching old shows at night. Mostly it’s been shows I grew up watching. It’s relaxing and I get a kick out of them. Plus, and I mean it IS a plus, I can crochet and “watch” at the same time because I really don’t have to look intently at the screen. I know the characters and their voices so really, I don’t have to actively watch – just listen.

Anyway, for the past few nights I’ve been watching The Partridge Family. Yes, sue me. I loved it as a kid and I still think it’s a cute show. And Keith, damn he was a cutie. R.I.P. David Cassidy. I used to think they were all singing and playing instruments, ah the mind of a kid. This morning I woke up with this song stuck in my head and I can’t shake it. I don’t really care if I shake it or not, honestly.

Happy Friday, my friends! I hope this week has been kind to you! This week was better for me than the last, thankfully. I realize now that a big weight had been lifted and I feel more at peace within. My stress level is down and I feel a calmness that I had forgotten could exist. Well, there you have it. Do you have a favorite? My creative side wants to choose Will Hay Nelson but the sarcastic side of me wants to choose Helen Keller Parking. Ha!
