BobCat is a trip! He walks through the house with one of his favorite toys in his mouth. Usually, it’s his snake. He carries it in his mouth and meows, as if to call someone to play with him! I have been trying to get him to bring me the damn snake and he finally did it this morning! Now, if I can keep doing this with him so that I can teach him to fetch! I’ve had 3 cats who played fetch. Alice is the third one but doesn’t do it anymore. She’s too fat and lazy, plus she’s getting older.
BobCat sleeps a lot, as do all cats, but this guy seems to sleep in just one position! Take a look:

The other night, BobCat was in his favorite position yet again…but this time he lay there staring at me upside down for 20 minutes. He didn’t move a muscle… He didn’t even blink!

What am I going to do with such a silly cat? My little 14-pound meatball! Gotta love him!

Honey Bear is sicker than we first thought. After her initial visit with the vet, she felt better right away due to the antibiotics and steroid injections. But by Sunday she was back to looking sickly again. I was trying to entice her to eat more with things she loves like tuna and chicken but noticed she was having trouble chewing. I suspected a dental issue. So, I give her food that she lap up easily and off to the vet we went again yesterday.
I was right about the dental issue; the good news is that it can be treated. The bad news is that she also has a tumor in her tummy pushing on her intestines. The vet suggested an oral antibiotic for the dental problem and an oral steroid to try and shrink the tumor. Thankfully they gave the two mixed together making it only 1ml twice a day that I have to cram down her throat. Anyway, she won’t have much more time with us. I am hoping she will start eating more so she won’t be so weak. I want her to have a little time left where she feels better so I can give her more lovins before she goes. Right now she hides a lot.
The vet said we could probably get her feeling better for 2 weeks to 2 months on the steroid but we have to wait and see how she does. I will eventually have to make that inevitable and heartbreaking decision to let her go…
This week started out decent but then Tuesday one of my furbabies was sickly. It just happened. One day she was eating like a pig and the next day, she wasn’t eating much at all. She had lost some weight, and wasn’t eating, drinking, or urinating much. My first thought was her kidneys. I have already lost several cats to kidney disease and I wasn’t prepared to have to put down another of my loves. I knew I would have to do it because I wouldn’t ever want any of them to suffer…
Our wonderful vet had no appointments open this morning but agreed that if I get there at 9am sharp then they could squeeze us in between the others. A complete blood count was done, and after what seemed an eternity, he came back with the results. Her kidneys were fine. Her liver was fine. Her white blood count was high, which he said normally means an infection…frequently it’s a UTI. So he gave her IV fluids and a long-lasting antibiotic injection, plus a steroid injection. We are home now and she already looks better and has eaten some of her favorite “Lickables” in a pouch.
Anyway, I thought I was going to lose her kidney disease and would be in no mood for today’s funnies, but here I am! I’m ready and willing and so very relieved to not have lost another of my furbabies! On with the funnies because that’s what you came for, right?!

Ok, I am exhausted, mentally and physically. Time to take a good nap. I hope these funnies aren’t repeats. I forgot to delete last week’s off my phone and laptop so I got a little confused! I hope you get a few laughs from this week’s collection! My faves are Shocked Miss Piggy, Samuel L., Vacuum Sealed, and Stoned Hunter.
Have a super weekend, friends! Until next time,
