Here we are. 2023. You’ve got to be kidding me? Here’s to a great new year ahead! I had hoped to post before now but things are nuts here. Between Dad, the weather and the house falling apart….well, you know how it is because you’re busy, too.

Friday’s Funnies – My Faves This Week

Well, here it is Friday, again. Can you believe I’ve posted Friday’s Funnies two Fridays in a row? Yeah. I’m surprised, too. 

It’s been a rough last couple of weeks. I’m stressed to the max with Dad’s BP being so high. His doctor (actually a Nurse Practitioner) has finally increased one of his BP meds and is referring him to a cardiologist. We are waiting for a call to schedule an appointment. His sleep has improved over the last few days and I think that helps his stress level. Not sure what will help mine. Ugh.

Hello! Long time, no see! I’m trying, really I am. It’s so hard to get back into the swing of things. I seem to have enough energy for what must be done but no extra energy for the things I like to do. Believe it or not, this is my 4th post this week. Can you believe it? Haha.

There ya go! What do you think? Do you have a favorite? I think my fave is “Fuku Den” and “Dick Pops.” Good grief. Can you imagine serving something like that to a group of kids having a sleepover, without realizing what they look like?! Big snort!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. It’ll be warmer here for a few days. Honestly, I’m sick of being hot or even warm. Bring on Winter! I’m ready. I’m stocked up on toilet paper, canned goods, and other pantry staples. My warm blankets are out, and my electric vests are ready for use! I also found hoodie blanket sweaters so Dad and I stay warm and toasty. Propane company, I’m ready for your shit! Haha.

Friday’s Funnies – Theme: Rain That Never Stops!

We’ve had an enormous amount of rain this month, which wouldn’t be such a bad thing BUT we also had a few very high winds. Those high winds blew some of the roofing off my Dad’s bedroom, so when the rain came…well, let’s just say it rained in my Dad’s bedroom for 24 hours straight…and it’s not done yet! There were buckets everywhere and plastic over his bed, desk, dresser, and tv. Now to get someone out here so Dad doesn’t decide to get up on the roof himself! Dad’s bedroom isn’t the only problem. There’s at least one bucket in every room of the house. We need to get the new house finished, pronto!

I hope you find the humor in these memes. In no way are they meant to make light of the damage and loss that people have endured during extreme wet weather. I just found it fitting to post them since we’ve been having such a wet month and it certainly shows in our house!
