Friday’s Funnies – My Faves This Week

Well, here it is Friday, again. Can you believe I’ve posted Friday’s Funnies two Fridays in a row? Yeah. I’m surprised, too.

It’s been a rough last couple of weeks. I’m stressed to the max with Dad’s BP being so high. His doctor (actually a Nurse Practitioner) has finally increased one of his BP meds and is referring him to a cardiologist. We are waiting for a call to schedule an appointment. His sleep has improved over the last few days and I think that helps his stress level. Not sure what will help mine. Ugh.

Friday’s Funnies – Theme – Too Hot To Live!

Well, here it is, Friday with August a day away. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for Winter. Most of you are probably thinking I’m nuts because Fall is right around the corner! Other than the nights cooling down, it’s still too hot for me in the Fall. At least in the Winter you can wear more clothing and use more blankets. In the summer, you can only take off so much clothing before someone calls the cops. Snort!

Well, what do you think? My faves are still tryna apply foundation, cat lying flat on his back (because my cat Fuzzy used to lay like that), and last but not least, the Jane Austin quote! Which ones were your faves?

What’s the weather like in your neck of the woods? Here, it’s hot and humid. Nearly 100 degrees every day and this week was the first week that it has not cooled down at night. We’re talking 85 degrees and very uncomfortable! The air conditioners and fans are working overtime and I had one fan die on me last night! I hope the 2 air conditioners last the rest of the season!

Friends, it’s getting bad out there again so please wear your mask, social distance, and get vaccinated. I know it’s scary, but we have got to get this virus under control if we are to ever get our lives back to normal again! I’m extremely worried about a very close friend of mine who was just diagnosed with Covid. This shit is hitting too close to home!

Happy New Year, everyone! Let’s hope 2021 is better than 2020, shall we? Good Lord, it couldn’t possibly get worse…could it? My resolution this year is to laugh…laugh until I wet myself if it makes me feel better! Have you made a resolution? Will you keep it?

Friday’s Funnies – My Faves This Week

I’ve been a bit preoccupied this week because I had my granddaughter for a few days. We had a blast and she pranked me so bad!! It was hilarious but she’s got “pay backs” coming when I see her next! Here’s the story, and then on with this week’s Friday’s Funnies!

Just a couple of days ago Dad and I were talking about how we’ve not seen a scorpion here since we moved here in 1992. I’ve heard other people in this county (Ozark) say they’ve seen them. Well, today I walked into the bathroom, saw a scorpion near the toilet….and yelled to Dad, “DAD! Come quick! Hurry! Hurry! Bathroom! Quick!” I thought, now I have to worry about scorpions getting in the house. (As if spiders aren’t bad enough!) Just great! About that time Daphanie comes in laughing and Dad says, “She got YOU this time!” Gonna get even with this little prankster!! Lol. Remember last time she got Dad with the lizard? Lol. In our defense, the bathroom is pretty dark!
