There are just so many Schmucks these days, it’s hard to decide who’s the biggest! This week’s Schmuck is Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ choice for Surgeon General of Florida, Dr. Joseph Lapido.

Harvard-educated, they say… Hmmm… DUDE! Are you sure you’re a doctor? You don’t sound very intelligent! I mean, come on! The guy can’t even answer a simple “yes” or “no” question without fumbling over his words; obviously trying to avoid saying anything that may oppose the Governor’s agenda. He does eventually say that vaccines are reasonably effective but it doesn’t sound like he should be any state’s Surgeon General, in my opinion. You decide:

Most reasonably intelligent people understand that vaccines are effective against Covid-19 DEATHS and that deaths occuring now are predominantly amongst unvaccinated people! Let’s get some intelligent people representing us in this country! This shit is getting ridiculous!

So many schmucks, too little time….

Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema have voted to reject the change of filibuster rules to allow the passage of two voting rights bills. The Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act would protect our most basic rights. Why would anyone not want to protect the rights of every American in this country?

The filibuster rules have been amended many times in the past. You’d think that a simple change in rules would be nothing to get their panties in a bunch but seems that’s what’s happened. Senators Manchin and Sinema say they support the bills but refuse to bend a little on the filibsuter rules. What’s more important? Filibuster rules (that have been amended 160 times in the last 52 years) or the rights of all Americans to vote?

These two Senators earn the Schmuck of The Week award! They deserve it.

All I can say here is: What nerve! We suffered through 4 years of Donald Trump’s ignorance and destruction and Joe Biden is the clown? Joe Biden is a complete joke? Donald Trump can’t even speak in complete sentences! Give me a freakin’ break!

Oh, boy. What a conundrum. How do you choose just ONE moron when there’s an entire box of them? And just since last week’s Schmuck of The Week award! Holy crap.

Well, I’m pretty sure every person on the list this week is extremely deserving so how the hell do I choose? Maybe all 5 should get the award. You be the judge.

Trump White House Aide, Peter Navarro, admitted the plot to steal the 2020 election. He gave names of those who were part of the plan, he explained the method, play by play, AND he did it all on national television. The schmuck doesn’t even know how dumb he is!

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently asked, “Now think about it. Before Covid did anyone go out and seek testing to determine if they were sick? It’s usually you feel like you’re sick and you get tested to determine what you maybe have come down with.” Seriously? “Usually” was before Covid. NOW is Covid. Covid can be deadly, especially for those who are immunocompromised or unvaccinated. This guy is more than just a schmuck. He’s an ignorant schmuck.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz, called the Jan. 6 attack “a violent terrorist attack on the Capitol” but when Tucker Carlson (Fox tv news host) read him the riot act, Cruz backtracked his comments by saying he was referring only to the rioters who attacked police during the breach of the Capitol. Grow a pair, you schmuck! Those rioters were out for blood! They wanted to “hang Mike Pence” and were looking specifically for “that bitch” Pelosi. If they had had the chance, they would have attacked and killed more than just police officers.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, recently slammed the President for failing to end the pandemic. I couldn’t believe my ears! The GOP has spent months and months fighting and blocking mask ordinances and vaccine mandates; the very things that could possibly end the pandemic. Tell me again who’s responsible for failing to end it? OH, and why the hell haven’t you blamed your idiot orange leader? He could have ended the pandemic before Biden took over. A giant schmuck, is what you are!

The last schmuck on the list this week is Kentucky Senator Rand Paul. First, what the fuck does an ophthalmologist know about infectious diseases? He has a lot of nerve verbally attacking Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has been protecting this country from infectious diseases for almost 40 years. Or have these people forgotten about the HIV or Ebola crises? Dr. Fauci was right about funds being collected on Senator Rand’s website, that appear to be for the firing of Dr. Fauci. I call bullshit. Those funds are to feed Rand’s bank account and his big dumb-fucking ego. These people who verbally attack Fauci are absolutely responsible for the crazies out there who have threatened the lives of Fauci and his family. There is no excuse!

On this day last year, I watched in horror as Trump’s supporters stormed this nation’s Capitol Building. I have never seen anything like it in my life. I never thought I’d ever see such a thing. How could something like that even happen in the United States? I’ll tell you how. 

When a complete imbecile is elected President and that person is more concerned with power than with protecting everything this country stands for, you get an attempt to overturn the people’s vote. You get complete and utter chaos. 

It was not just a riot, and it sure as hell wasn’t a “normal tourist visit.” 5 people lost their lives, either that day or in the following days, due to violence that erupted that day. It was at Trump’s suggestion that his followers go to the Capitol. He urged them to “stop the steal” and his followers did what he asked. They threatened the lives of our nation’s leaders. They chanted, “hang Mike Pence.” Since today is the 1st anniversary of the attack on our Democracy, Trump gets the title “Schmuck of the Week,” the first installation of a weekly post on my blog!
