On this day last year, I watched in horror as Trump’s supporters stormed this nation’s Capitol Building. I have never seen anything like it in my life. I never thought I’d ever see such a thing. How could something like that even happen in the United States? I’ll tell you how.
When a complete imbecile is elected President and that person is more concerned with power than with protecting everything this country stands for, you get an attempt to overturn the people’s vote. You get complete and utter chaos.
It was not just a riot, and it sure as hell wasn’t a “normal tourist visit.” 5 people lost their lives, either that day or in the following days, due to violence that erupted that day. It was at Trump’s suggestion that his followers go to the Capitol. He urged them to “stop the steal” and his followers did what he asked. They threatened the lives of our nation’s leaders. They chanted, “hang Mike Pence.” Since today is the 1st anniversary of the attack on our Democracy, Trump gets the title “Schmuck of the Week,” the first installation of a weekly post on my blog!

I was trying to be nice (not because he deserves it) and when I Googled synonyms for “asshole” schmuck came up so I figured close enough! Lol. Don’t worry, I have a long list of schmucks to nominate, too…but I’ll gladly accept any nominations that come in! 😉
