Good Monday Morning

I wish I could say this day will be better than the last, or this week better than last week. I can only hope but time will tell. My pain level has been exceedingly high. There have been sleepless nights and the days are long and tedious. If it weren’t for my afternoon nap I’d probably look like one of The Walking Dead.

I’m behind on reading your blogs. I love reading about your lives, your passions, your pets, and I love the photos and poetry that come across my screen. I’ve made some good friends here in the blogosphere, and I’ve had to let some old friends go. Things change and we move on. It’s life.

I’m behind on my blog writing but I’m working on my stories and slowly writing my recipes for my cookbook. I have a lot of time on my hands although it seems I don’t have enough. I’m trying to push through this rough patch of mine, hoping this week will be better. I keep telling myself that it’s ok to just chill and take care of me, but it always seems that I’m neglecting my chores, my responsibilities and the people in my life. Then I think, if I don’t take care of me, who will?

So, I will do what I need to do to take care of me and to stay sane. I hope you all have a wonderful day and week!

  1. You do what you’ve gotta do. That’s my motto. 🙂 I hope I’m not one of those old friends you’ve let go of. 😉 I know we haven’t had lunch in a while. I really need to update you on what’s been going on with the seven of us here. There’s been a huge bump in our lives since January 9th this year. Definitely not a good way to start our year off. We’re all temporarily living in town right now, not at the rural house. I’d like to have lunch to fill you in on what’s gone on since the 9th. Let me know. Hey, if you’re getting a cookbook started, definitely let me know when you get it published. I want to buy a copy. 🙂

    1. You are NOT one of the friends I’ve let go. 💜 We do need to do lunch soon but my pain level has been so high as of late, I never know if I can go out or not. I’m definitely curious about your living situation. What the heck…you’ve had to move? Yikes. Let me know when you might be free for lunch. I think it’s my turn to buy!

  2. I can totally empathize with you! The last several months my life has become over pack with priority level stuffs. At times is overwhelming, at other times I feel like I’m getting it together. Overall, I think I just need to find a schedule that fits all the tasks in, while still taking care of my important relationships. It’s tough to find the balance sometimes. Especially, when our health gets involved. Take care. The struggle is real!

  3. I have a dear friend who has put everyone else ahead of herself for all of her 50 something years. Kids, grandkids, strangers, pets, strangers’ pets…the list goes on. She’s run herself ragged and I finally looked at her and told her that if she kills herself doing for catering to everyone’s needs, who will take care of the important stuff then? I finally, after much cajoling made her admit that she is important, too. Girlfriend, you are the most important person in your life. Take care of you. If you are worried about everyone else, then still take care of yourself so you can help them in the future❤️
