I don’t know that I deserve awards for my blog, but I appreciate the recognition! It’s nice to know someone is reading and appreciates what I have written. I’ve never won this one before! What is your favourite thing beginning with the letter ‘s’? Sunshine

What is your quirk? Instead of speaking, I sometimes sing what I want to say, and not very well. Lol. I only do this in my own home!

What five things do you hope to accomplish in the next five years? Knee replacement surgery, hiking, traveling, reopen my home business, write a book or two.

If I was reading a book, with you as the main character, how would the author describe you? She was a short, funny woman with a good heart and a love for nature and animals.

What do you wish you could change about yourself? My leg/mobility problem.

Which one famous person (real or fictional) would you like to meet and what would you say or ask? If I could go back and meet Chris Cornell before he died, I would tell him how much his music and lyrics meant to so many people.

If you could have a super-power, what would it be? The ability to heal people of their afflictions.

What are you most proud of? My children.

What is one key thing blogging has taught you? You must interact with other bloggers as much as possible to get your blog read.

Finish the sentence “Happiness is….”? Laughter, kittens, babies, sunshine, love, music, hugs, peace, and chocolate.

If you could change your name what would it be? Oscar Mayer, ‘cuz then everyone would be in love with me!

How do you like your eggs cooked? Over easy.

Would you like to live 27 000 BC? No way!

Mayo or Ketchup? Depends on what I’m going to put it on. 

If the world was to end in 24h what would you do? Not much I could do except tell the people I love how much I love them.

Thriller or Adventure movies? Thriller, but not horror! I like a good psychological thriller.

If you can choose your death, would you rather drown, be shot, or frozen? Shot. It would be faster perhaps.

Do you believe in UFOs? Maybe. It’s quite arrogant to think we are the only beings in the universe.

How hateful is hate? Hate is deplorable when it’s against a person because of their race, religion, looks, sexual preference, etc.

My Answers to Questions Given to Me:

Tell something about yourself and your word press identity?

My identity “Aunt Debbie” is pretty much ME. I have several nieces and nephews and I’ve been called Aunt Debbie for so long that it seemed the appropriate title for my blog, “Being Aunt Debbie.”

Views about trying different foods

I pretty much stick to what I know. If there’s a new dish from another land I haven’t tried, I might try it. It just depends. I love spicy foods, pasta, pizza, chocolate, veggies.

What kind of buyer are you? (cheap or expensive)

I am neither cheap or expensive really. I put a lot of thought into my gifts. Normally I create something myself; maybe jewelry or something crocheted, maybe some other handcrafted item. Sometimes that might cost a lot, sometimes it might be very inexpensive.

Do you believe in the global warming?

Yes. There are many scientific studies on climate change and I think scientists know much more than I.

Do you consider yourself young or old?

My mind is still young but my body feels old; very, very old.

  8. If you had to save one personal item from a fire, what would it be? A photo album of my family.

How my blog got started:

I was entering a new phase of my life. I was about to become a grandmother. Starting a blog seemed like the perfect way to share my life and my loves, although it turned out to be more of a therapeutic project. It remains very therapeutic for me. I have just recently made my blog more public (through Facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/BeingAuntDebbie/) and have tried to write more than I use to. There were times that other things got in the way of my creativity and if you have read my past posts you may know exactly what I’m talking about. This blog is about making my way through this life, down whatever road it takes me.

My advice to new bloggers:

  1. Write what you know and about your passions. Just write!
  2. Don’t let anyone belittle you for your writing, opinions, passions or anything else. Just be you and write what you like!

 

It was difficult for me to pick 10 bloggers — there are so many great blogs out there! Most of the blogs I follow are on other blog formats, like Blogger, but I figured I should nominate those who are on wordpress like I am. I don’t always get to read every blog every day and that makes me sad! Here goes!
