What is an earworm, you ask?
It’s a tune or song that gets stuck in your brain! It’s that song that’s playing in your head as soon as you wake up in the morning and plays all day long. Sometimes it’s a good song or tune but sometimes it’s awful and drives you bonkers.
Ok, this one is driving me bonkers! Don’t get me wrong, I love watching SpongeBob Squarepants – hey! Don’t knock it unless you’ve watched it! It really is an amusing and funny show. However, I don’t like the theme song going through my head all day long especially when I haven’t even watched the show in months!

You know, way back then when my sons were small and I watched Spongebob Squarepants with them, I used to think the voice of Mr. Krabs was done by Rip Torn. I was blown away when I found out it was done by Clancy Brown, the guy who portrayed the nasty prison guard in Shawshank Redemption! Another cartoon I used to like back in the ’80s was Rocko’s Modern Life. I loved that show!

Never watched Rocko, but we still watch ol’ SpongeBob on occasion. Dad loves it. 🙂

This tune is contagious for sure, ugh. So is Soft Kitty from the Big Bang Theory, and Baby Shark………great now I have the Baby Shark ear-worm…🤨

Is that what it’s called?? Thank goodness my kids are grown. I used to walk around the house with Barneys: I love you, you love me, we’re a happy family! I would sing that everywhere, grocery store…everywhere.
