Random Thoughts – August 29

  • The GOP doesn’t like the mirrored reflection that Gavin Newsom has shown them.
  • Didn’t Trump claim during J6 that only the Speaker of the House could call in the National Guard?
  • Could it be that Ron DeSantis is scared of LGBTQ+ folks because he’s still in the closet?
  • It’s a felony to throw a sandwich at law enforcement, but it’s not a felony to beat a police officer with a flagpole?
  • Slavery is part of this country’s history. You can’t erase what’s already happened.
  • I don’t care about Taylor Swift’s engagement, but I don’t wish her ill, either.
  • Donald Trump cries and lashes out like a child when someone talks bad about him or when someone succeeds, and especially when that someone is a woman or person of color or both.
  • ICE is nothing more than today’s Gestapo.
  • Republicans will go down in history as the party that let America down.
  • JFK, Jr. isn’t a doctor or a scientist. He’s an idiot. Vaccines save lives!
  • Some people say, “Guns are not the problem. People are the problem.” So, why would you let the problem have guns?
  • Some say, “If ICE picks me up, I can prove I’m a US citizen!” Who are you going to prove it to? Without due process, without going before a judge, you won’t be able to prove anything.
  • Where’s Elon? Is he our modern-day Waldo?
  • If any Democrat had ever done one thing that DJT has done, Republicans would have a lynch mob out to get him.

Well, that’s all I have for now. My mind is scrambled with all of the BS going on! I hope each and every one of you has a great Labor Day weekend. Be safe!

Ashamed

I used to feel ashamed that I was (and still am) on Medicaid. I never dreamed I’d end up disabled and dependent on anyone, let alone State Aid. It’s not my fault. I busted my ass at several jobs along the way and my last was self-employment. I had my own home business and busted my ass trying to make a living. In the end, over a decade later, I had to close my business because I just couldn’t do the work. I had to jump through hoops just to get on SSI, but I qualified for Medicaid after they verified my medical need.

So, here I sit. I am on SSI and receive a small retirement income, but the combination of the two still isn’t enough to live on if I were to live alone. I get SNAP (Food Stamps), but that’s not enough for an entire month. Seriously.

As I was saying, I used to feel ashamed that I receive any kind of aid because of the judgemental bullshit people spew. Some seem to think that “people can get a job instead of relying on taxpayers” blah, blah, blah. You’ve probably heard it all. No, what I’m ashamed of now is not that I’m on State Aid but the fact that our fucking worthless piece of shit asshole so-called president has made sure to strong-arm his party into compliance to pass that Big Beautiful Bill, that isn’t beautiful at all! So many cuts will be underway, and millions of people are going to lose whatever help they get because of it. I may lose what I get, and then what do I do? I know many people are worse off than I am, but I can’t afford to pay out of pocket for doctor visits, or the medications I need to be able to function. With soaring prices, it will be harder than ever on my measly income.

Does the Republican Party care? Hell no. They’re more worried about DJT calling them names or removing them from committees or whatever the hell they think he can do to them. Why don’t they just grow a pair and stand up to him? I think they actually like the fact that they (Republicans) have control and not the Democrats. They will do anything to keep that control. But you know what? They’re going to be voted out and replaced with Democrats come the primaries. Good. I’m sick of their bull shit. I could go on and on about what they’re doing, but that’s another post.

This post is about how ashamed I am of Republican politicians, DJT, Republican voters, and yes, even the Democrats, for allowing such a deplorable man to run for POTUS. I’m ashamed of this country for allowing that man to take such a hold on people. I’m ashamed of people for letting him brainwash them. I’m ashamed that they’re so stupid they can’t think for themselves and SEE what he is doing.

If you voted for that piece of shit, then I’m ashamed of you, too.

What’s Eating Aunt Debbie?

I can’t believe the childish bullshit going on in today’s politics. Seriously childish! So your candidate lost. Big deal. That’s how it works. The people vote. Someone wins, and someone loses. You don’t cry, belly-ache, and moan when you lose. You take it like an adult. Gracefully. I’ve seen Elementary School kids behave with more grace and maturity in school elections than I’ve seen amongst political candidates in a very long time.

Oh, I can just hear the Trumpers moaning about how the Dems didn’t accept the vote and went all-in after Trump. Please. Don’t get me started. I can sit here for an entire week listing all of the absolutely UNacceptable (and sometimes illegal) bullshit Trump did and said and still not list it all. If Trump would have been a Democrat, the Republicans would all have aneurysms trying to take him down. It was obvious (and still is) that Trump is an unacceptable candidate for the Presidency.

Let’s not forget those so-called adult candidates. You can’t claim fraud or cheating just because you lost. You don’t act like a sore loser. You take your loss like an adult. They think that if they lose there must be some kind of conspiracy! Give me a break. Some of them tell their voters that they “can’t trust the vote” even before the election. Really? Then why should they even vote? And why the hell are you running if you can’t trust the vote? I wish these people would just grow up! If they’d just go away would be even better.

Since Republicans have control of the House now, they’re all about investigating Hunter Biden, impeaching the President (for what I have no clue!), and Merrick Garland, as well. Some say they want to fix the economy and solve other problems…but they never say how they’re going to fix it. They don’t have a plan. They just spout bullshit they think their constituents will believe.

I never thought I’d see such a circus in my lifetime. Integrity is lost and brains are scarce.

How Stupid Can They Get?

I’ve heard some absolutely ignorant things before and I just can’t keep it bottled up anymore! It amazes me how stupid people, commercials, politicians, etc., can be and I’ve decided to make lists here periodically, maybe weekly at the rate these morons are going! So, let’s see how many people I can piss off, shall we?

  1. Regarding Dr. Seuss….Dr. Seuss was NOT cancelled! I wish people would actually read and try to comprehend what they’re reading for once. The publisher, NOT Joe Biden, has pulled 6 titles (titles most of us are unfamiliar with) for racial images that are offensive. The publisher has decided that those books would not be printed anymore. There are still dozens of Dr. Seuss books for you to choose from, in book stores and libraries everywhere, so just stop being stupid!
  2. Ron Johnson…Those rioters on Jan. 6 “were Patriots and were people that loved this country,” he says. Give me a break! Patriots would not have tried to overturn the vote. Patriots would not have attacked this country’s Capitol. Patriots would not have threatened the lives of our elected lawmakers and the Vice President. He says, “and if those tens of thousands of rioters were Black Lives Matter and Antifa protestors, I might have been a little concerned.” Umm… Those rioters whom he called Patriots, battered police with a multitude of weapons: metal flagpoles, baseball bats, wrenches and clubs, and guns, bombs, stun guns and other weapons were also seized. He didn’t feel threatened? He goes on to say that those rioters “love this country, that truly respect law enforcement, would never do anything to break the law, and so I wasn’t concerned…” They respect law enforcement? Really? They wouldn’t do anything to break the law? What fucking planet is this guy from?
  3. Ted Cruz…So, while his constituents and fellow Texans are without power, water, and heat Ted Cruz packs his bags and heads to Cancun for a vacay with his family because their house is “freezing”! Then he tries to cover by saying he was being a good dad. He could have been a good dad by sending his family to Cancun and a good leader by staying to help the people of Texas. He says he was coming right back. Liar, liar. Pants on fire. Do these politicians think we the people of this great country are that stupid? Well, apparently some are but I digress.
  4. Lindsey Graham…Graham says migrant children “are children today but could easily be terrorists tomorrow.” HIS orange leader and his followers attempted a coup of the US government, which resulted in the deaths of at least 4 people, and threatening the lives of elected officials and Graham deflects the blame to poor, tired and ill treated immigrant children? Put a sock in it, you old douchebag.
  5. Hate Crimes against Asian Americans….There’s a special place in hell for people who are blaming Asian Americans for the Coronavirus! Just because that idiot 45 called it the “China virus” does not mean it’s the fault of Asian Americans. Just stop being assholes, please. Stop the violence against these Americans who had nothing to do with the virus in any way, shape, or form!
  6. Black Lives Matter…. For those who still don’t get it, ALL lives won’t matter until BLACK lives matter. Stop the stupidity!
  7. Progressive Insurance…Please discontinue the stupid ass commercial with the half-human half-motorcycle!! It’s not funny. It’s not even slightly amusing. And it makes absolutely no sense. You think it sells your insurance? I’d buy any insurance before I’d buy yours. Just stop.

So, there’s my list for this time around. At the rate things are going I’ll be making a list every damn day. Now, before any of you Republicans jump down my throat because I’m a Democrat and bashing Republicans, tell your fine leaders to think before they speak and we won’t have a problem.
