What do I say about me?

I am a single, 60-something mom of 2 adult children and grandmother to 7 beautiful grandchildren. I am disabled due to OA and I’m in dire need of knee replacements. The need is dire because I have suffered for over a decade without adequate care and help and now I can barely walk with crutches. I have a new provider now (a Nurse Practitioner) and have received more guidance, care, and information than I ever did before!

I was a cross-country backpacker in my younger days. I have a great love and appreciation for nature and wildlife. I’m a bird watcher, a crazy cat lady, and I can only dream of taking long walks in the woods again someday.

I love to crochet; my grandmother taught me many years ago when I was 8 years old. I’ve been crocheting ever since. I have a slideshow on my crochet page showcasing some of my crocheted projects. Use the menu in the right column on the home page to see the slideshow.

I love to make jewelry and glycerin soap, although I’m just not able to make the soaps these days. Hopefully someday…

I love to read, write, and learn about foreign lands. I am very interested in Medieval history and all things Celtic. I love rock, alternative and grunge music, some metal and I love to listen to bagpipes and Celtic music.
